Notes From The Marketing Manager

Happy New Year! Though many would like to forget 2020, I’m appreciative of everything that I’ve learned along the way. Halfway through the year I was laid-off from my previous job due to COVID-19’s impact on the business. Four months without a career to dedicate myself to was eye opening. Am I happy? Am I working towards my goals? Am I growing? I began to reflect on what was important to me and what I wanted to do next. Connecting with consumers and partners through new creative ideas and activations has always ignited the fire that led me to Marketing. But was that enough?

In October, my summer ‘vacation’ ended when I joined Tire Group International. The key word, Tire, seemed so familiar, yet I had no idea what I was getting myself into. Navigating an industry so present in my daily life, yet so foreign in experience, was a challenge I’ve accepted graciously. Planning, creating, executing and connecting are key elements to any industry and thanks to my experience and skill set, I’ve been able to apply, lead and make a difference here at TGI. Though I’ve had my kinks in integrating into a new team and learning new programs, and a botched my email blast or two, I’ve been able to avoid the potholes and continue on the path that has kept me planning, creating, executing and connecting. I couldn’t be prouder to be a member of a team that has allowed me to grow and make a difference thus far.

2021 will have a new set of challenges to face. When they happen, meet them with enthusiasm and confidence, and always trust the process…
