Cosmo Launches California Distribution with Big Brand, American Tire Depot

Cosmo Tires has launched in Southern California through a partnership with Big Brand Tire & Service and American Tire Depot as part of its national expansion.
The rollout included a launch event at Big Brand Tire’s Canoga Park, CA, location with store managers, local car clubs, artists and influencers. DJ Candyman provided music, and Los Angeles radio personality Letty Peniche of Power 106 FM attended.
The event reflected Cosmo’s “Kool Kat Ambush” retail theme.
Product Lineup and Technologies
Cosmo highlighted product and technology features across its portfolio, including the ultra-high-performance MuchoMacho, the off-road-ready GripIt XT and the EV-focused Kurrent.
Key differentiators cited by the brand include:
- Multiple U.S. patents in functional design, traction technology and advanced tread engineering;
- Quiet Kat Technology with Geometric Isolation, aimed at reducing noise;
- DSS (Directed Super Silica) for grip, control and extended mileage;
- Bold sidewall design language;
- Warranty programs that include road hazard coverage and mileage warranties.
Retail Activation Rollout
Cosmo said it plans a phased “Kool Kat Ambush” retail activation across select Big Brand Tire and American Tire Depot locations in Southern California. The program includes:
- Retail identification with Cosmo branding inside and out;
- Geofenced marketing campaigns to drive local traffic to stores;
- On-site staff training on Cosmo product technology and positioning;
- Community activations, including Cosmo Tires Pop-Up Ambushes.
Cosmo Tires said it plans to continue expanding its footprint through 2026.
