MIAMI — Tire Group International (TGI) and its Cosmo Tires brand are donating to relief efforts in the aftermath of the Venezuela earthquakes June 24 that killed more than 5,000 people and destroyed hundreds of buildings.
“For more than 35 years, TGI has built lasting relationships with customers and friends throughout Venezuela. Those relationships extend far beyond business — they are rooted in trust, friendship and a shared history. Today, as Venezuela faces this difficult moment, TGI and Cosmo Tires are committed to helping those in need,“ the company said.
TGI said it has made a monetary donation to support the humanitarian relief efforts of the I Love Venezuela Foundation, in partnership with Global Empowerment Mission (GEM), helping provide critical assistance, resources and emergency support to those affected by the disaster.
In addition, TGI has launched the “TGI x Venezuela Humanitarian Aid” campaign, encouraging employees, customers and suppliers to donate essential supplies including food, hygiene products, medical necessities, baby items and other needed goods.
TGI said it also is donating the use of its delivery trucks to transport collected supplies from donation sites to staging warehouses, where they will be prepared for shipment to Venezuela.
“At Tire Group International, we have always believed that business is ultimately about people,” TGI CEO Tony Gonzalez said.
“For decades, Venezuela has been home to many of our customers, partners and dear friends. When they need help, we stand with them — not only through financial support, but by mobilizing our team and our resources to make a meaningful difference.”
